Luma Lite 2000A Forensic light, laser, ALS, CSI, Ion Trace Payton Scientific - Crime scene - Evidence technician - Fingerprint For sale is one fully operational Luma-Lite 2000A forensic light source from Ion Trace/Payton Scientific Company. Serial number #8978. This mint condition portable forensic light source is designed for the laboratory or field applications to detect trace evidence such as hairs, fibers, semen, sweat, saliva and urine at crime scenes. In addition it can detect bone fragments, street drug residue, treated or some untreated fingerprints, accelerants, bite marks and more. This forensic light can detect (fluoresce) 36 street drugs and even detect seminal evidence during daylight with the sun to your back (see article at manufacture website). Dog and carpet fibers were detected in the Randall serial murder investigation in Florida on bodies in daylight in grass areas with the Luma-Lite 2000A. In addition this unit can aid photography in detecting details in footwear impressions and tire tracks and be used for questioned documents. The Luma Lite 2000A can also detect blood prints/spatter which has been covered with several coats of white enamel paint. Included in the sale: One Luma-Lite 2000A with operational lamp. Unit includes On/Off switch with intensity adjustment knob (variable light control) to maximize contrast. Aluminum carrying handle on top. Dual fans are incorporated to cool the internal components. This unit can work from household current or a portable generator for remote crime scenes. The Luma Lite draws only 440 watts so it will work in older buildings.
